Bill Gregory, our Chief Executive Officer, has been with Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens since 1979 when he began helping families prearrange their final wishes. He continues to maintain our tradition of providing the same exceptional level of care we would desire for our own family.

Our Chief Operations Officer, Cindy started with our company in 1992. She holds a business management degree and serves as Executive Director for the Cemetery Association of Tennessee. Utilizing her years of experience in the funeral and cemetery industry, Cindy oversees our funeral operations, administrative functions and coordinates with all departments of our company to achieve our mission, promoting the care of families first.

Our Chief Financial Officer, responsible for finance and accounting, joined us in 2004. Serving as CFO or controller at several businesses for over 30 years, he helped each achieve or surpass their goals. His experience and broad-based business management skills are an asset to our organization.

Our Chief Business Development Officer, responsible for growing and improving our organization, joined us in 2013. As a former CPA with an international accounting firm, president of an area memorial gardens and VP of Marketing for the largest software company in our industry, he is uniquely suited to serve our company as we strive to provide the very best service to the families of Middle Tennessee. His relationship with Family Legacy goes back over 25 years and his goal is to ensure that each family we serve can indeed “Celebrate Life. Remember Forever.”

Our VP Advance Planning is responsible for managing our Family Service Counselors to ensure families are able to make cemetery, cremation and funeral arrangements in advance. As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Ben knows the importance of being prepared.   

Ben has extensive experience in the profession and believes making funeral, cremation, or cemetery decisions does not have to be a difficult process.  He knows the advance planning process allows you to express your wishes and relieve your loved ones of this future emotional and financial burden. This makes it one of the greatest gifts you can give your family.

Mike Hays joined Family Legacy as our new Vice President of Funeral Operations in December 2015.  Mike began his funeral directing career in 1990 in Lexington, Kentucky at Milward Funeral Directors, Inc. where he was mentored by some of the best in the profession.  Having been a teacher and a basketball coach prior to beginning his funeral service career, he committed himself to learning, teaching and the constant pursuit of a better arrangement conference.  Along the way, he has continued to develop targeted training events for arrangement counselors (both at-need and preneed); he has taught classes at industry conventions and conferences and mortuary schools, and even served as interim president of Mid-America College of Funeral Service. 

His willingness to teach and his positive spirit brings a new level of leadership to our funeral team, as we continually strive to provide the best possible customer service.

Mike was educated at the United States Air Force Academy, Berea College and Asbury Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree.  He comes to us from Louisville, Kentucky. He and his family are in the process of relocating to Sumner County.

Our VP Cemetery Operations, Kevin oversees the care of our cemeteries, managing equipment and crews for burials, landscaping, maintenance and development. Kevin has an extensive background in the industry. He leads our grounds crews with the philosophy that Families are #1 and tells the guys “treat every service like it’s your mamma’s”.

Our team of grounds men is lead by Kevin Armistead. We promote service to families and the importance of our work in caring for cemeteries.
