Thomas Francis Shultz, MD died 15 Nov 2021 of an accidental fall. He was born 23 Oct 1949 in Fulton, NY to Harry Raymond Shultz and Catherine Ann Zaia.

Tom was a Cornell University graduate with a master’s in electrical engineering. He went to medical school at ST. Louis University and did his residency at the University of Rochester, Rochester NY.

He met and married Susan Sullivan in St. Louis. They have one son, Raymond John Shultz (Julie Ann Colonna) of Sheffield AL.

Tom married MerryAnne Pierson 27 Jul 1991. He practiced in Nashville with Anesthesia Medical Group and at Vanderbilt as an anesthesiologist. He was retired.

His two granddaughters, Joslyn Zaia and Kellyn Taylor Shultz, called him “Poppa Doc”. He was predeceased by his parents and two grandsons, Cullen Thomas and Ezekiel Gene Shultz.

Tom was an avid woodworker, gun enthusiast and a member of Sons of the American Revolution

He leaves behind, his wife, MerryAnne Pierson, his son Raymond (Julie), his sister Barbara Wallace (John), his mother- in law- Ione Pierson, and a great number of cousins and friends.

A memorial will be held Tuesday Nov 23 2021 at 10 Am at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens. Internment to follow.
