She is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Rountree Lechleiter and her father, Joseph Peter Doyle.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jackson Leap; step-father, John Lechleiter; children, Karen (John) Busfield, Tiffany (Sam Dean) Ford, Brandy Leap and Clay (Jenny) Leap; grandchildren, Rachel, Peyton and Austin Manning, J.D., Kevin and Monica Busfield, Hudson Childress and Hayden Leap; One great grandson, Noah Manning; brothers, Peter (Debbie) Doyle, Jr., Lewis (Pat) Lechleiter, Jim (Melonee) Lechleiter; sister Peggy (Dan) Nichols; numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan was a talented artist and loved growing beautiful flowers and plants. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
