Sandra Faye Jones (73) passed away suddenly at home June 7, 2021. She was born November 27, 1947, to Helen Buttrey Jones and Priestly Jones who predeceased her.

Sandy was a 1965 graduate of Cohn High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in 1969 followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching in 1972, both from Middle Tennessee State University where she was a member of the Delta Pi Chapter of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She taught in the Metro Public Schools for several years before earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence from  the  Nashville School of Law in 1979. She enjoyed a long career as a sole pra_ct it ioner engaged primarily in the area of  domestic relations.  She was a long standing member  of the Nashville Bar Association.

Sandy was a loving nurse and caregiver to her husband, Van, until his death, as well as to her mother and beloved Aunt Allene Buttrey Taylor until their deaths.

Sandy was a lover of animals and had a passion to help the disadvantaged. She was a giver with a heart of gold to those in need. She loved her fellow Cohn High alumni and kept in touch with many of her high school friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Vance Cramb, Jr., Grandparents Odie L. and Mesa T. Buttrey, and Nephew Justin Garcia.

Sandy is survived by loving cousin, Brenda Womack (Wayne), special devoted friends, Mary Birthright, Linda Pierse, Julia Prince, and Ruth Ann Looney and countless friends and colleagues in the legal profession. She is also survived by sister, Beverley Jones (Mark Langford), niece, Kristie Garcia, and nephew Austin Garcia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to  the  charity of your choice  in her name or to the Nashville Humane Society.
