Mary Jewell Holt

Mary Jewell Christian Holt- Age 86, of West Nashville passed away April 28, 2023. Born in Putman County, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgie Lee Christian and Lola Dimple Holman; her loving husband of 49 years John W. Holt, and her brothers Bud Christian and Jim Christian, sister, Reba Dawson.

Jewell is survived by her two children, John A. (Judy)Holt, and Theresa Holt (Timothy) Garrett; grandchildren, Alex (Sybil) Holt, Rachel Stutts (Todd)Orton, Mary (Dylan) Clark; great grandchildren; Olivia Holt, Maddox Travis Orton and Wash Clark; her brother Charles Allen and sister Margaret Hackney. Several loving extended family members.

She was a devoted member of Park Avenue Church of Christ, which then became Western Hills Church of Christ.

Jewell blessed her family with her love and talents of cooking, baking, and sewing.

Visitation with the family will be May 2, 2023 Tuesday from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with a Celebration of her life service starting at 1:30pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Daryl Demonbreun officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30pm also at Harpeth Hills Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers, Alex Holt, Dylan Clark, Todd Orton, Wayne Jones, Kenneth Jones, Fred Ruehl, Kenneth Holt and Timothy M. Garrett.
