Lola Mae Adkins Frye

Lola Mae Adkins Frye went to heaven June 9, 2022. She was born on October 21, 1956 in Hamlin, West Virginia. She has resided in Nashville, Tennessee for many years. She loved to travel and got to do so during her time working with TSA and the federalization of the US airports. She loved sending friends and family postcards from all the places she got to visit. Lola never met a stranger, and she was always willing to help and do for others.

She is survived by her siblings, Darlene Brock, Neal Thompson (Josephine), Tony Adkins, Jim Adkins (Sue), Beverly Bowers (Carlson), Jamie Adkins (Susie), her daughter, Stephanie Sabbe (Bryan Sabbe), Grandchildren: Remi Sabbe, Wells Sabbe, Georgia Sabbe, Cora Sabbe, and extended family, Diane Kiser, Shira Gutcheon Sturm (Robert Sturm) Marlie Gutcheon & Sakiah Robinson. Lola adored her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Clifford Ray Adkins, her mother, Georgia Thompson Adkins, her son, Brennan Allen Frye, and her brother, Steve Edward Adkins.

The family would like to recognize and give special thanks to Valene Reese for the amazing care she gave to her in Lola’s last days.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery.
