Nashville

Kay McCullough Blackburn of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on April 16, 2021. She has gone to join her husband who also recently passed, David Viehe Blackburn. She is survived by her daughter Carol Blackburn Brons (Brian S. Brons), grandchildren Scott Brons and Anna Grace Brons, and her brother Mac McCullough. Her daughter, her son-in-law (who was more like a son to her), and her two grandchildren were the loves of her life. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Information Technology. She worked in Asheville, North Carolina; Augusta, Georgia; and then moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she worked at Vanderbilt and finally retired from Lifeway Christian Resources after 25 years. During her retirement, she loved working at The French Shoppe, volunteering as a docent at Cheekwood, and a math tutor for Whitsett Elementary School. She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday school class. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
