Age 73 of Nashville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2016.
Wayne was born in Franklin, TN on April 16, 1942 son to the late Johnny & Olivia Groves. He was also preceded in death by his wife Barbara Groves.
Survivors include his children, Johnny (Kim) Groves, Lisa Groves & Cory (Kandi) Groves; girlfriend of 10 years, Lori Goatz; 3 grandchildren, Bobby Wayne Groves, Jessica Olivia Groves & Colin Lee Groves; 3 great grandchildren, Bradyen Robinson, Julianna Groves & Benjamin Wayne Groves.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Wayne's life will be conducted on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm with an hour visitation prior to service.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St Jude Children's Hospital in loving memory of Charles Wayne Groves.
