William Robert Lamb

Mr. William Robert (Bob) Lamb of Brentwood, TN. passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 80.

He was born on October 9, 1942, to L.L. Lamb and Amanda Isabelle Stone Lamb in Lyon County, Kentucky, being one of 11 children. He had lived in the Nashville area since 1959. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and western movies, but most of all following the lives of his beloved children and grandchildren. He was an avid fan of Kentucky basketball and the New York Yankees. He was of Protestant faith and was admired for his strong work ethic. Bob graduated from Hume-Fogg Technical High School and attended Nashville Tech. He spent his working life in the flooring business affiliated with Nashville Carpet Center and more recently with Southstar Flooring.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, Charles L. Lamb and Jerry Donald Lamb and his sisters, Virginia Rickman and Evelyn Powers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Spaulding Lamb, children, William C. Lamb (Ruth), and Brenda J. Lamb Murray (Chris), siblings, Dorothy Bingham (Russell), Marolyn Gibson, Michael S. Lamb, Barbara Stephenson, Sharon Pratt and Linda Jo Lamb as well as a host of loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

His beloved grandchildren, Robert Frank Murray, Emily Kathleen Murray (Tyler), William Robert Lamb, II, Madeleine Olivia Lamb, Drew Austin Lamb, and Joshua Thomas Lamb.

Visitation with the family will begin Saturday, November 26 at 10:30am through 11:30am with services to begin at 11:30am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. Burial to follow at Greenbrier Cemetery, Greenbrier, TN.
