William "Billy" David Iii

William Huston David III, 51, of Bellville, Texas and Franklin, Tennessee, a loving husband and devoted father, passed to the afterlife on Saturday, August 7th, 2021.

"Billy" was born February 24th, 1970 overseas at Tachikawa Air Force Base in Japan. Raised by his parents, William and Marina, he grew to excel in his classes and later attended Arizona State University pursuing a degree in computer science. After returning home to assist his father with a health emergency, he continued to educate himself and develop software at the highest level.

In 1994, William met the love of his life, Kristie Lanell Smith. After several years of life together, William and Kristie were married May 20th, 2000. Their son, Tanner Christian David, was born three years later on May 26th, 2003.

A self-made man, William came from very little; it was through his continued hard work and dedication to his craft that he was able to provide for his family. His efforts culminated in the founding of CloudNine Discovery in 2002, a groundbreaking effort only possible with his true genius and the business expertise of longtime friend and partner Brad Jenkins.

His true joy in life, however, came from watching the successes of his family. He took pride in Tanner's continued dedication to academia and his national recognition as a speaker. The sheer excitement from watching his son's accomplishments was a testament to the love running deep within him.

William's life was the most fulfilling imaginable. He lives on through his wife, son, family, friends, and two dogs, Opal and Oscar.

There will be a private Celebration of Life held at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens and a memorial service held in Bellville, TX at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund is being created in Billy’s name. Information on this will come in the near future.
