William Floyd "Bill" Cochran

William Floyd “Bill” Cochran, age 84, from Fairview, TN passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2023. 

Born on August 28, 1938, to Floyd Cochran and Mabel Emily Guetschow in Chicago, IL. Bill was the oldest of three children. He attended high school in California and enjoyed playing baseball and working with model trains. He joined the Navy following graduation and served as an electronics operator with the Taiwan Defense Command. Following his service in the Navy, he continued working in electronics for thirty years before retiring. 

A lifelong fan of the Chicago Bulls and Cubs, he also enjoyed reading, playing World of Warcraft, and spending time with his dogs. 

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie June Cochran, parents Bruce Armstrong & Mabel Emily Morisson, daughter Tanya Cochran, sisters Mabel P. Freyman, and Phyllis A. Bromberg, and his nephew James Bromberg. 

He is survived by his daughter, Regina Gail Pitts, granddaughter, Tamatha Hill and husband Jeff, granddaughter, Crystal Zachary and husband Chris, 11 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Russel Howell, and sister-in-law, Margaret Baird of TN, brother-in-law, Arthur Freyman of NC, nephews, Michael Freyman and wife Sonja of TX, David Freyman and wife Debbi of GA, John Freyman and wife Jamey of TX, nephew, William Bromberg of IL, niece, Kimberly Wright and husband Larry of IL, niece, Peggy Hunn of IL, nephew, Robert Bromberg and wife Chris of IL, Rick Bromberg and wife Deb of TN and niece, Rachel Jones and husband Mark of TN. 

There will be a visitation Thursday, June 29th from 12:30 pm until the graveside service at 2:30 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221
