Wayman E. Nicely

Wayman E. Nicely, a good and kind man beloved by all who knew him, passed away on November 12, 2023 in Nashville, TN. Born on February 12, 1936 in Clifton Forge, VA, Wayman led a remarkable life filled with love and dedication.

Wayman graduated from Clifton Forge High School in Virginia before embarking on his career. He worked as a compositor for a printing company, specializing in typesetting.

Survivors include loving wife Faye Nicely; children, Melody Nicely, Kaye Keen, Karen (Robert) Newman, Carla (Richard) Harris, Chris (Rhonda) Seals; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Garland (Darlene) Nicely, Darius Nicely, and numerous friends and loved ones.

Outside of work, Wayman enjoyed various hobbies and interests. He had an unwavering passion for sports and found joy in watching all kinds of sporting events. In his younger years, he used to play golf and relished the time spent on the golf course. Wayman also cherished being outdoors, whether it was working around the house or tinkering in his shed. Additionally, he found solace and enjoyment in spending time on his computer.

Family held immeasurable importance to Wayman. He shared over 45 years of marriage with the love of his life Faye, an inspiring testament to their enduring bond. Throughout their journey together, they created a beautiful family filled with love and laughter.

Wayman will forever be remembered as a good kind man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His gentle nature and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many. Whether it was offering words of encouragement or providing assistance to those in need, Wayman's kindness knew no bounds.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 11:30am ~ 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm and burial to follow all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Please join us to reminisce, share stories, and pay tribute to a remarkable man who has touched our lives in profound ways.
