With heavy hearts, we share that Wanda Carol Medlin, a loving wife, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 81 in Waverly, Tennessee.
Born on June 30, 1944, in West Nashville, Tennessee, Wanda lived a life centered around family, kindness, and resilience. She had a warm heart and gentle spirit, and she touched the lives of many through her compassion and love.
She is survived by her husband, John Paul Medlin; her children, Susan (Robert) Myrick and David (Lisa) Hardy; her stepdaughters, Brenda (William) Hampton, Vicki Lawrence, Debbie Bone, and Tammy (John) Faulk. She is also survived by her brother, Dale Thompson, as well as a large family that includes 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Thompson and Velta Michael Thompson, and her beloved grandson, Jesse Myrick.
Wanda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved arts and crafts, spending time in her garden, and caring for her beloved dog, Molly, who brought her great companionship and comfort. Above all, she cherished time with her family and many memories they shared together.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 11:30 a.m., with the service following at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m., all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens
Grandsons serving as pallbearers will be Adam Hardy, Adam Flowers, Chris Bledsoe, Matt Lawrence, Jacob Flowers, and Keelan Flowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Hampton, Elijah Banks, Braxton Banks, Kaden Thomas, and Noah Thomas.
