Vicky Elaine Primm was born on March 31, 1965, in Nashville, Tennessee. Although born in Nashville, she spent her childhood in Bell Town, located in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, where she developed the unwavering faith, compassion, and servant's heart that would define her life's journey.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Frances Dunn Corlew and Donald Corlew, and the cherished adoptive daughter of the late Willie B. Primm.

Vicky graduated from Cheatham County High School and later attended Nashville Tech State, where she earned certification as a Hospital Unit Clerk.

Following graduation, she worked in several positions, including Brookmeade Nursing Home, Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Meharry Medical College, and Mother Goose Daycare as a preschool teacher's assistant. Although she enjoyed serving others in every role, healthcare became her life's profession.

For 33 years, Vicky faithfully served at Saint Thomas West Hospital, where she began her career in Nutrition and Food Services. Through hard work and dedication, she advanced to Telemetry Unit Secretary, Nursing Assistant, and ultimately Endoscopy Technician. In recognition of her outstanding commitment to excellence and compassionate care, she received the Honor Star Award in 2011.

While Vicky deeply loved caring for patients, her greatest passion was seeking God's Word and sharing His love with everyone she encountered.

At an early age, Vicky accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Bell Town Church of God. There, she faithfully served as a youth usher, sang in the youth choir, and taught Children's Sunday School.

In 2002, while at work, Vicky experienced a vision that inspired her to establish a workplace ministry called "Prayer Break." This ministry provided coworkers with an opportunity to step away from their daily responsibilities to pray, meditate on God's Word, and encourage one another in faith.

In 2003, she became a licensed and ordained Missionary Evangelist under Bishop Albert Booth at Union Gospel Holiness Church of God, Inc., in Nashville, Tennessee. She furthered her biblical education through Five Fold Ministry Bible School, Mount Zion Evangelism Ministry, and Emmanuel Bible Seminary.

In 2005, Evangelist Vicky Primm united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. During her time there, she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Missionary Ministry, Children's Church leader, Evangelism leader, and Associate Minister.

Vicky believed ministry extended far beyond the walls of the church. She often spoke of having "church without walls," taking God's love into the community by ministering in nursing homes, volunteering at homeless shelters, and partnering with churches throughout the Greater Nashville area. In 2008, she also enjoyed singing with the Volunteer State Mass Choir.

Outside of ministry, Vicky loved bringing joy to others. She enjoyed making people laugh, cooking, traveling, crocheting, coloring, listening to jazz music, and playing the guitar. She cherished spending time with family and friends and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society.

In December 2021, Vicky's life changed dramatically when a devastating tornado swept through her hometown. She endured numerous surgeries and spent nearly a year in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. Yet through every challenge, her faith never wavered. She refused to allow hardship to separate her from God or diminish her joyful spirit.

Above all, Vicky desired to live a life that was pleasing to God and one that would positively impact everyone she met. Her kindness, humility, unwavering faith, and servant's heart touched countless lives. Her legacy will continue to live on through every person she encouraged, prayed with, and loved.

She Was Preceded in Death By

Her mother, Mary Frances Dunn Corlew; her father, Donald Corlew; her adoptive father, Willie B. Primm; her grandparents, William (Ella B.) Dunn and Lucian (Ethel) Corlew; her brothers, Clayborn Corlew, Edwin Corlew, and Erwin Corlew; and her sister, Raffa Corlew.

She Leaves to Cherish Her Precious Memory

Her brothers, Robert (Vickie) Corlew and William Dunn; her sisters, Barbara (Harvey) Stevens and Kamella Dunn; her nephews, Steven Springer, Bobby (Anna) Corlew, Clayton Corlew, Rahn (Nadine) Corlew, and Dillon (Micah) Dunn; her nieces, Connie B. (Levi) Braswell, Jeanee Duncan, Rachelle (Jay) Harris, Shamaka Corlew, Chevon (Isaac) Coleman, Tiffany (Roderick) Ridley, Dashia Brandon, and Demetria Dunn; her uncle, Marvin (Sadie) Corlew; her devoted cousin, Bessie Hannah; her devoted friends, Robert E. Dansby, Sr., Patsy Duke, Tanya Kenner, and Teresa Wiggins; her spiritual mother, Mother Bettye Gordon; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, church family, coworkers, and countless friends whose lives were forever blessed by knowing her.
