Tony Dewane Petty Sr. was born November 27, 1964, In Nashville, TN. He was taken home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2026. He is survived by his wife Teresa Petty, Daughter Tanya (Michael) Swett, Dillon (Tessa) Burkhart, Jacob Burkhart, and William (Laurie) Wagner. Brothers Scott Petty, and Robbie (Jo) Petty, and Tony (Ann) Travis, and sisters Misty (Stanley) Guess, Ruthie and Melody Petty. He was “Papa” to 13 grandchildren. Beloved Aunt Dorthy Halpin Knight, Uncle Sonny (Teresa) Halpin.

He is proceeded in death by his wife of 29 years , Jennifer Petty, sons Josh and Tony Wane Petty, father, William Petty, grandfather William Petty, Sr., grandmother Ms. Flora (Robert) Dee Collins, mother Beverly Travis, father, grandmother Vera (Big Mama) Halpin, and sister Tammy Petty.

Tony was an admirable man who led a life of legacy. He spent his life building his flooring company, loving his family, giving back to the AA/CA recovery programs, and community. His true calling was to meet the needs of others, putting his heart and soul into everything he did, making everyone feel like he was their best friend.

Arrangements: Western Hills Church, 7565 Charlotte Pk, Nashville, TN, Saturday, September 12, 2026, 10a-2p Celebration of Life. Service begins at 2p. He will be cremated and his ashes laid to rest on his birthday 11/27/26, in a private family ceremony.
