Preceded in death by grandparents; Billy Smith, Tony and Rosie McKee; parents, Thomas E. Smith, Sr. and Lilly Pearl McKee; wife, Virginia Raye Smith. Sisters, Girleen Copley, Ila Mae Capps, Anniebelle Smith, Liliebelle Smith, Thelma Adell Shelby, Delphia Lucell Folkes, Angie Opal Dangwood; brothers, William Thomas Smith (Buck), Robert Clarence Smith (Bob), Odie Wallace Smith, John Tony Smith.
