Terry L. Forsythe passed away on September 19, 2025, in Chapmansboro, Tennessee. Born on August 14, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee, Terry's life was marked by hard work and a love for racing.
He is survived by Children Robert (Rebecca) Forsythe, Suzette Morales; grandsons Lewis Forsythe, Kerry Harwell, Ryan Harwell; great grandchildren Elayna, Dayton, Tryston; siblings Loretta Harrington, Debra Peek, Bubba Forsythe, Wally Forsythe, Ricky Dale Forsythe, and Little Terry Medley as well as numerous friends and loved ones.
For over 40 years, Terry worked at the Foam Crete in Chattanooga. Outside of work, Terry had a huge passion for racing. He was known as a driver as well as a car owner at Highland Rim Speedway and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. His love for circle track racing became a significant part of his life and influenced those around him.
One of Terry's proudest accomplishments was his family, with four generations of race car drivers and his grandson Lewis pursuing education at the University of Tennessee. Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to both his family and his passion for racing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
As we remember Terry L. Forsythe, we celebrate a man who brought joy not only through his work and passion for racing but also through the love he shared with his family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 4:00pm ~ 8:00pm and Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 11:30am ~ 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm and the burial to follow. All at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville TN 37221.
