Teresa Garcia Moreno was a woman of many talents. An excellent seamstress, a wonderful cook, a business professional, a school volunteer and the best mother and grandmother any grandchild could want. It was not uncommon for her to make tortillas twice a day, construct a beautiful dress in a day for her daughters or a Halloween costume or pajamas for grandchildren. Teresa, “Cha Cha, Lash, Lacha, Tere, Teresona, Abi, Aubs, Mom” was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly. She was 78 years old.

Teresa passed away peacefully at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN, on Sunday July 23. She is survived by her three daughters, Rosie Clary (Paul), Lily Leffler (Robert) and Elizabeth Upton (Ben). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Nicholas Jude Spain, Sandra Rose Spain, Jackson Emory Leffler, Isaac Martin Leffler and Isabella Teresa Upton; siblings; Maria Moncivaez, Jose Garcia and Margie Munoz (Carlos). She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Lechuga Moreno; parents, Marcelina Lopez Garcia and Martin Garcia; brothers Catalino, Martin, Rupert, Samuel and Arthur.

Teresa was born on January 10, 1945, in Robstown, Texas. She was a graduate of Robstown High School, a dental assistant, and retired from Aladdin International in Nashville, TN. She was a devout Catholic, enjoyed sharing family stories, scrabble, BINGO, watching her Spanish novellas, and spending time with family. She had a quiet sense of humor and you never had to guess what she was thinking.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 28th from 4:00PM-6:00PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Visitation on July 29th at Saint Henry Catholic Church from 9:00AM-9:45AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM (livestream will be available at https://vimeo.com/sthenry). Interment will take place at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens following the Funeral Mass.

Reception and lunch for family and friends will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home (West Hall) from 12:30-2:30 after the conclusion of graveside services
