Taimour Hazim Allos

October 22, 1962 — January 6, 2026

Nashville, TN

Taimour Hazim Allos passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2026. Taimour was born in Mosul, Iraq on October 22, 1962. He was the youngest of six children and spent the first 30 years of his life in Iraq. He graduated from the University of Mosul’s School of Engineering in 1986. He also was an avid beekeeper; selling honey was his job but raising bees was a labor of love.

Taimour and Nagham were married in 1994, and they welcomed their daughter, Talah, on Christmas Day in 2000. A few weeks later, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

All who knew Taimour knew that nothing mattered to him more than his family. When he and Nagham were first married and living in Baghdad, he especially enjoyed spending evenings at his sister Hala’s home, surrounded by extended family. He loved a good game of poker with his father, older brothers, and brothers-in-law, and later enjoyed playing bridge at the YMCA. In recent years, scarcely a night passed without him opening chess.com. There was nothing he relished more than defeating his older brothers, Sahim and Fatih, in a spirited game of backgammon - except, perhaps, beating his oldest brother, Suhail, in a tennis match.

Taimour was known as a dedicated and dependable worker. His co-workers spoke of his strong work ethic, his reliability, and his willingness to take on any task. One former supervisor noted that he never hesitated to ask Taimour to do a job, knowing he would always be ready and give his best effort.

His remarkable capacity for work was matched only by his capacity for argument - particularly with his nephew, Fadi, over matters both great and small. Before visiting his sister Tara, Taimour would always check to see whether Fadi was there, eager for yet another lively debate.

His daughter, Talah, was the light of his life, bringing him great joy and meaning. He believed he had the most extraordinary daughter in the world and never tired of proudly sharing that she was in dental school.

He is survived by his daughter, Talah, and by Nagham, who remained a constant source of care, companionship, and love in his life. He is also survived by his siblings Tara Allos (Riyath), Hala Allos (Shawqi), Suhail Allos (Ban), Fateh Allos (Shatha), and Saham Allos (Marina); and 13 nieces and nephews: Saif, Lara, Sahem, Laith, Fadi, Maryam, Fadhel, Samir, Hazim, Jwan, Kathleen, Annmarie, and Julia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazim Allos and Nuhad Khayatt.

Now reunited with his parents, he is perhaps enjoying a plate of gratin and searching for the nearest Cava in heaven. Taimour will be deeply missed.
