Joe "Steve" Beech, 82, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Born on April 30, 1943, in Pulaski. Steve lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection to his family and friends.
A dedicated man with a heart of gold, Steve spent many years working at Standard Coffee Company before retiring. He was a salesman at heart, known for his engaging conversations and his remarkable ability to connect with others.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Beech, with whom he shared many joyful years. Together, they loved traveling and taking vacations, creating lifelong memories that Steve treasured.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Shana (Ryan) Vehling; grandchildren Brady Garland, Bryce (Emily) Garland, and Cooper Vehling; great-grandson Ryder Garland; and his siblings, Jim Beech, John Beech, and Debbie Beech.
Steve’s love for his family was undeniable. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly cutting his grass on his tractor. His grandchildren loved joining him on tractor rides, a memory they will carry with them forever. In addition to his outdoor hobbies, Steve was an excellent cook, especially when it came to making breakfast.
A true southern gentleman, Steve will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of good southern cooking, and the happiness he brought to everyone he met. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 11:30am ~ 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm and the burial to follow all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN 37221
