Shirley Tune Holle

Shirley Tune Holle, age 84 of Bon Aqua TN, passed away on January 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years George A Holle Jr, parents William Nickel  and Willo B Tune and sister Sallye Stephens.  Survived by son George Nickel Holle (Maxine), grandson George Nickel Holle ,Jr (Ashley), sister Shari Martin (Red), sister Susan Miller (Maury), and very close first cousin Faye Smith.

Shirley was born in Nashville TN and attended Hillsboro High School, where she developed many life-long friendships. She loved her monthly luncheons with her high school friends and took great pride in the planning of the Hillsboro High School reunions for Class of 1955.

Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, living in Atlanta GA for several years before returning to TN and settling in Dickson County. She was a serious animal lover, especially when it came to her dogs, who were her constant companions. She loved to travel and did so as often as she could.

In the last 10 months, Shirley’s life and medical condition changed greatly. Even with her physical state being diminished, she established some wonderful relationships with her caregivers, medical staff and therapists at NHC. She loved and appreciated them.

She had a strong and passionate personality that influenced every life she touched. She was a true American Patriot. She will be greatly missed and remembered forever…
