IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherry Belinda
Mazeall
February 20, 1949 – January 25, 2026
Sherry Wilson Mazeall (February 20, 1949-January 25, 2026) was called home from Old Hickory, Tennessee, after battling a lengthy illness. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she spent her formative years in North Carolina, where she discovered the great loves of her life: Duke basketball, her career as a medical lab technologist, and, most importantly, her soulmate Walter Jack Mazeall, Jr., who was stationed there as a US Marine. Over their fifty-eight years together, they built a beautiful life for their four children, making homes in North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee. It's in Tennessee where she dedicated over two decades of her life in service to Williamson County and St. Thomas Hospitals. Her greatest joy, however, was found in the time she spent with her family, including, of course, her fur babies.
Preceded in death by her parents Carlton Bryce and Ruth Palmer Wilson; she leaves behind her beloved husband, Walter Jack Mazeall, Jr.; devoted children, daughter Angie (Gib) Prosise and sons Derek (Laura) Mazeall, Steve (Lyndsey) Mazeall, and Jeff (Angie) Mazeall; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jennifer Woessner and Robin (Duane) Glowski; and seven nieces and nephews. A private Celebration of Life will be held by family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family encourages those who feel so moved to donate to Happy Tails Humane Shelters or the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
