Shahin S. Saeedpour, age 86, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 17, 2025.
She was born on April 21st. in Tehran, Iran, to Aliakbar Shahmohammadi and Masoomeh Gozidehpour.
In Iran, she spent 18 years as a devoted second-grade teacher, inspiring countless students with her patience and dedication. After moving to Nashville in 1977, she embraced her new life with courage and determination, learning English and later teaching at St. Mary’s Villa for 23 years until her retirement. Her love of children and teaching touched the lives of many families across generations.
She attended college in Iran, where her remarkable artistic talent set her apart. Her work was so extraordinary that some even questioned whether it could truly be her own, though those who knew her never doubted her gifted hand.
Beyond her career, she was an exceptional mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was also known as a talented cook, a loving caretaker, and a gifted gardener who could keep any plant alive. She cherished animals and welcomed them into her life with the same warmth she offered to people.
Shahin shared 68 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Khosrow Saeedpour. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and enduring commitment. She is also survived by her children Reza Saeedpour (Mojie Habibi), Roya Saeedpour, and Ramin Saeedpour (Melissa); her grandchildren Misha Saeedpour (Galen Milender), Ronna Saeedpour, Sam Saeedpour, and Loa Saeedpour; and her brother, Jamshid Shahmohammadi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aliakbar and Masoomeh, and her siblings Hossein Shahmohammadi, Hassan Tabrizi, and Marzieh Tabrizi.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 3, starting at 3:00 p.m. at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation during this time.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
