Sandra Kay Cooper

Sandra (Sandy) Kay Jones Cooper of Pegram Tennessee, passed away suddenly on December 7, 2021 at the age of 70.

Born on December 18, 1950, she was preceded in death by her parents David & Leona Jones; sisters, Pam Simpkins and Margaret Scarbrough. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Gary Cooper; children, Kenneth Cooper & Mitzi Hale (Kyle); grandchildren, Tori Hale, Hannah Hale, Mia Cooper and Matthew Cooper; niece, Angela Mikolon (Chris); brother-in-law, Marshall Scarbrough; several extended family and friends.

She fought a courageous battle after a life changing accident in 2016 left her a quadriplegic. Despite her many challengers, her determination, sense of humor, kind heart, infectious smile, love of her family and friends, and, most importantly, her commitment to God was unwavering. She will be dearly missed by so many who loved her, but none more than her supportive husband and caregiver, Gary. Prior to her accident, she loved gardening, fishing, camping, traveling, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends; especially “The Golden Girls”. She was a faithful member of the Tusculum Hills Baptist Church.

A special thanks to all the many caregivers at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing. We would also like to thank all of our neighbors and friends for their support during this time.
