Sandra (Sandy) Jensen White of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on the third day of July 2026.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom White, son Chad (Misty) White, daughters Colleen White (Tom) Blanchard, and Rebecca White, grandchildren, Colton White, Maddie White, Thomas Blanchard, Jensen Blanchard, and Emerson Blanchard
. Sandy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 4th, 1949, and was one of eight children in a very close-knit family. At the age of 18, she left New Orleans to pursue her dream to travel the world. As a flight attendant for Pan American Airlines, she lived out her dream, living in Manhattan, New York and traveling all over the world for more than two years. She gave up that career to marry her college sweetheart, Tom, who at the time, was in Vanderbilt Law School. They were married and made Nashville their home.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, and un touchable homemaker, who made the time and effort to obtain her college degree and graduated from Belmont University, while raising three children. Sandy was a gifted artist in different mediums for many years. In addition to many beautiful oil paintings, she was one of the original members of the Nashville Calligraphers Guild.
First and foremost, Sandy was a committed Christian. In her very quiet and knowledgeable manner, she led her family and a number of other people to Jesus Christ. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She was by far the greatest blessing to her husband and family. Without reservation, she gave her heart and life to them.
Sandy will always be missed and never replaced. Without a doubt, Sandy will hear “Welcome Home, my good and faithful servant”.
A very special thanks to the Staff and Caregivers at Woodcrest for their unselfish love and care.
There will be a private family burial service. Obituary is posted with Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
