Ruby Doris Beasley Nash

Nash, Ruby Doris Beasley –

Age 95 of Nashville, born May 14, 1926 and died December 5, 2021. She was preceded in death by husband, Arthur Vardon Nash. Also preceded by parents E.J. and Lecie Fly Beasley; brother Horace Beasley; sisters, Jewell Beasley, Allene Houston, Inis Pucket and Jean Loveless; two nephews Mark Loveless and Larry Houston. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Nash Owen (Alan Owen); one son, Johnny Nash; three grandsons, Cody Owen, Brenton Nash, Bradley Nash; one niece, Lynn Loveless Martin, one nephew Ken Loveless.

At age 2, Ruby’s family moved to Centerville, TN. She graduated from Hickman County High School with honors in 1944. After WWII, Ruby met the love of her life, Arthur Vardon Nash; they married in 1953. They were married for 41 years and three months and had two children. Ruby graduated from Nashville Business College in 1945. She retired from Metro Board of Education after 21 years working at the Bellevue and Hillwood High Schools as a Library Assistant. Ruby was a member of the West End Church of Christ for over 60 years where she taught children’s Bible School for 32 years. Ruby more recently attended Charlotte Heights Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 9:00am-10:00am with a Celebration of Life at 10:00am. A reception at the Pavilion will follow the burial at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort or to the Jim Bill and Betty McInteer Scholarship Fund at Harding University.
