Robert "Bobby" Drinkwine

Robert Lester (Bobby) Drinkwine, age 76, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away January 6, 2023.

Bobby was born on August 19, 1946 in Waukegan, IL to Lester and Eleanor Drinkwine. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Sharon Drinkwine Wilson, brother Francis Leroy Drinkwine. He is survived by his son Robert Anthony Drinkwine, sister Carol Drinkwine Matherley (Frank), brother Joseph Henry Jones, Jr (Karen), sister-in-law Donna Beasley Drinkwine and numerous nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his former wife Janice Taylor Drinkwine.

He was a member of the New Hope Road Church of Christ and was the treasurer there. He loved the youth and Bible camp, and all church activities.

He graduated from West End High School, where he was a member of the marching band, which he loved. He later was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in accounting.

Bobby loved his family, the church and people in general. Even though he portrayed at times a tough shell, he was generous, benevolent, loyal, loving, and tenderhearted.

Visitation will be at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 3-7 pm and Friday, January 13 from 11 am -1 pm. The memorial service will be at 1 pm.  Active pallbearers are his brother Joey Jones, and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are the men of the New Hope Road Church of Christ.  A second memorial service will be on January 15 at the New Hope Road Church of Christ in Hendersonville, TN. at 11am.
