Obituary

Robert Bruce Harris, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.

A proud Army veteran, Robert served his country with honor before beginning a long and dedicated career with AT&T, where he worked until his retirement. Following retirement, Robert continued to stay active by assisting his longtime partner of 30 years, Bunny Sundock, with her business, Hail Caesar. His loyalty, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others defined the way he lived his life.

Robert had a lifelong passion for golf. Whether watching a tournament or spending hours on the course himself, he found great joy in the game and the friendships it brought. He was also an avid football fan, proudly supporting the Oklahoma Sooners for many years and, in more recent years, cheering enthusiastically for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Robert leaves behind many loved ones who will cherish his memory and miss his steady presence, warm spirit, and devotion to those he cared about.

Bunny wishes to extend her heartfelt gratitude to Bridges of Parkinson's, the staff of Harmony at Bellevue Memory Care Unit, Alive Hospice, and the Neuro ICU team at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West for their compassionate care, support, and kindness shown to Robert and his family throughout his journey.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Bridges of Parkinson's in honor of Robert and in support of all those courageously fighting Parkinson's disease and other life-changing illnesses.

Robert's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Friends and family are warmly invited to a reception to celebrate Robert's life that will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, 9090 Hwy. 100, Nashville, TN 37221.

A service celebrating Robert's life will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 9:00am (arrive at 8:50am) in the rotunda at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with the interment immediately following.
