He is survived by his brothers, Clifford Bates and Ed Bates; nephews, John, Tony, Danny, Scott, Seth and Wayne; niece, Jordana.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
