Robert Anderson, a beloved figure in our community, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on July 30, 1955, Robert lived a life filled with passion, love, and unwavering. He was a proud graduate of Cohn High School, Class of 1973, where he cultivated friendships that would last a lifetime. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, James Leon Anderson and Ruby Lee Looney Anderson; brother, Leon Anderson; and sisters, Shirley Hale, and Lorene Richards 

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Carlene Anderson; children, Catherine (Andy) Parker, Janice (Justin) Muhs, Brandon Clark, and Ashley (Derick) Cleek; grandchildren, Lauryn Parker, and William Keith Parker; siblings, Mary White, Martha (Jim) Perry, Emily Fly, Becky Forster, and Ray (Pam) Anderson; as well as multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Throughout his career, Robert demonstrated a remarkable work ethic, dedicating his time and talents to various roles, including positions at the metro dog pound, in retail at convenience stores and gas stations, and as a painter. His personality shined through in every job he held, earning him the respect and affection of his coworkers and customers alike. 

Robert had a love for life, evident in how he could be often found indulging in his hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, a pastime that brought him joy and tranquility, while he also cherished playing cards, finding delight in games such as rook, golf, go fish, and shove it. Additionally, his enthusiasm for bowling earned him a spot in the Nashville league, where he forged new friendships and created lasting memories. Robert also demonstrated his competitive spirit while playing dominos, all of which showcased his desire to connect with others through fun and playful moments. 

Robert was a devoted family man, known for sharing his love for baking, a skill he proudly passed down to his children. His greatest pride stemmed from teaching them how to bake, using this craft as an avenue to bond and create delicious memories in their kitchen. 

In the quiet corners of his home, Robert found joy in cleaning and washing his car, activities that reflected both his integrity and care for his surroundings. He embraced simple pleasures and infused them with love that extended to everyone around him. 

As we gather to celebrate Robert's life, let us remember his laughter, his love for games, and the warmth he brought to each moment. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
