Dolores 'Robbie' Vineyard, born June 19, 1930, passed peacefully on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and a desire to connect deeply not only with her family, but also with those around her. As we hold our hearts to remember Robbie, we celebrate a life that touched many, a spirit that was as friendly and outgoing as it was gentle and kind.
Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, James Vineyard; parents, Franz Degler and Mary Thomas; brothers, Keith Degler, and David Degler; and a special friend, Leroy Winkelman.
Robbie is survived by her children, Denise (Tony) Currie, and Kevin (Sally) Robinson; grandchildren, Matt (Albertine Chen) Currie, Justin (Jessie) Robinson, Megan (Jeremy) Allen, Kara (Bryan) Jimenez, and Jacob Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Marie Robinson, Sage Robinson, Everett Robinson, Blakely Allen, Kendall Allen, Reese Allen, Allie Jimenez, and Isabel Jimenez.
Robbie’s favorite places, Cincinnati and Florida—were not just geographic points; they were reflections of her personality. Throughout her life, Robbie nurtured a keen desire to help others, a calling that led her to graduate high school and then pursue nursing school, embracing a journey dedicated to care and compassion.
Her rare ability to connect with others, regardless of age, gender, or status, was a testament to her open heart and mind. Robbie made everyone she encountered feel valued and understood, bridging gaps with her presence. This gift made her not only a beloved friend, but also a beacon of support in countless lives.
Robbie’s passions were as rich as her personality. She delighted in dancing, clogging, and singing. Her love for word searches and reading showed an inquisitive mind and patience, while her enthusiasm for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team spoke to her enduring community spirit. She relished her moments with a cup of hot tea, pizza, and had a special fondness for Arby’s, small comforts that she greatly enjoyed.
Friends and family will remember her as a soul who embraced life fully, exuding a unique blend of excitement and kindness that made any room brighter for her presence. Her legacy is one of connection, generosity, and love, forever etched in the hearts of those who know her.
Visitation will be held on April 6, 2026, at 11:30am, followed by the funeral service at 1:30pm. An interment will be held at a later date. All services will be at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
