Rayborn Deola, 89, of White Bluff, Tennessee passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2026, surrounded by loving family.
He was born on 12/07/1936 in Nashville, Tennessee, to Jesse Lomax and Cora Odessa. After being honorably discharged from the army, he went on to have a fulfilling career as a Drywaller and even running his own business Chandler Construction.
In 1982, he married Margaret, with whom they shared 34 wonderful years together. Outside of work, Ray enjoyed Golfing, Fishing, and Wood Working and was best known for his sayings such as it’s my opinion and it should be yours too, I’m as tough as a pine knot, and I’m sweet kind and adorable
He is survived by Son Ricky Chandler (Jennifer), Daughter Cheryl Harackiewez (Robert), Brother Eddie Chandler (Anne), Grandchildren Lacey Smith (Patrick), Dylan Chandler (Jennifer), Garrett Chandler (Sierra), Hunter Woodard, Chloe Woodard, and Mackenzie Richardson Great-grandchildren. Amelia Smith, Shane Smith, Waylon Chandler, and Oaklynn Adkins. He was preceded in death by Dad Jesse Lomax, Mom Cora Odessa, Brothers Ira and Dale, and Sister Agnes.
A Funeral service will be held on 07/07/2026 at 2:30 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, located at 9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN,37221. All who knew Ray Chandler are welcome to attend.
