Randell “Randy” Earl Holt Sr., born on August 8, 1946, in the heart of our cherished community, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. His life was a testament to dedication, love, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone around him.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Holt; brothers, James Holt, William Holt, and Tom Holt.
Randy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donnaveene Mayo Holt; children, Amy (Randy) Curtis, and Chip Holt; grandchildren, Joseph (Mollie) Beard; great-grandchildren, Lucas Beard, and Dreama Beard; siblings, Jean (Doug) Holt, and Bob (Pam) Holt.
Randy spent many years working in accounting at J. C. Bradford, where his professionalism was admired by colleagues and clients alike. Randy attended David Lipscomb College and cherished his educational journey. He attributed much of his drive and spirit to the formative experiences he gained there. He had a love for music and found joy in singing. His love for music often filled the air around him; one of his favorite artists being John Fogerty.
He loved attending an exhilarating Nashville Predators game or supporting Auburn sports, his enthusiasm for his favorite teams was contagious. Randell’s presence will be deeply missed by all, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of many.
He leaves behind cherished memories and an impact on everyone who had the privilege of sharing in his life. A visitation will be held in his honor on February 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Thompson Station Church of Christ, located at 4721 Columbia Pike, Thompson’s Station 37179. This will be followed by a memorial service from 2:30PM to 3:30PM
