Peggy Jean Maynor Glenn, age 75 of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital.
Peggy was born in Barnesville, Georgia on February 4, 1949. Her parents, Leonard Maynor and Eva Mae Higgins, husband, Herschell Glenn all preceded her in death. She was a retired insurance administrator in the medical field. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Barnesville and had been attending Mountain View Church in Thomaston. Peggy was a member of the Golden Girls.
Peggy had a very special friend Sandra Bryan who met her at the gates of heaven to greet her with a hug.
Survivors include children, John Glenn, Amanda Nixon, and Julie (Sherry) Johnson; grandchildren, Katelyn Michelle Potts, William Harrington, Justin Potts, Alexis Harrington, Jarrah Glenn; great grandchild, Kysen Collier; brothers, Mike Maynor, Ron (Pat) Higgins, Bill Ward; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Interment will be on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Harpeth Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
