It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Jane Durham Anderson who peacefully entered her heavenly home on August 4th at the age of 85, born on January 9, 1941. 

Peggy was a devoted Christian who attended Bellevue Church of Christ. She loved the Lord, cherished her family, and found joy in serving others with kindness, grace and compassion. She was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. As a dedicated teacher at Lipscomb Elementary and Middle School, she touched the lives of countless students throughout her career of almost 27 years.

 She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Bill Anderson; her children James Anderson, Larry (Beth) Anderson, and Julie (Craig) Bruehl; her grandchildren Watson (Lauren) Anderson, Nolan Anderson, Keeton Anderson, Will Anderson, Wade Anderson, Anderson (Cali Ruth) Bruehl, and Calla Bruehl; her great granddaughter Reagan Anderson; and her sibling Robert (Janice) Durham. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Durham and Lillian Quillen Durham as well as her daughter Deborah Jane Anderson.

The graveside service for family and close friends will be August 12, 2026, at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens. There will be a Memorial Service at Bellevue Church of Christ on October 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
