Obituary

Pearl Jane Taylor, aged 70, passed away on August 16, 2026, with her family beside her. Pearl was born on March 15, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee to Curtis and Fannie Patterson.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Taylor, and her son, John Harrison, her parents, Curtis and Fannie. She is survived by her children, Joseph Harrison and Jennifer Harrison. Her three grandsons, Riley, Jonas, and Jaidon, her siblings, Hilda Osbourne (Steve), Danny Patterson (Betty), Fay Willis, and Frances Hunt, also a host of loving nieces and nephews.

A woman of many talents, Pearl found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was known for her culinary gifts, often filling her home with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals and baked goods. Her love for poetry and movies provided a creative outlet and a source of relaxation. Pearl's honesty and kindness were her hallmarks; she greeted everyone with a smile and was fiercely loyal, always having your back no matter what the circumstances. Her stubborn spirit was a testament to her determination and strength.

Pearl's faith was a guiding force in her life. She held a deep belief in God and Jesus, often saying, "I know HE is there and all you have to do is pray!" Her conviction was that God would answer prayers, not in haste, but with divine timing that made the wait worthwhile. This belief provided comfort and guidance not only to Pearl but to all those around her.

A celebration of Pearl's life will be held on August 20, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden, located at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
