Pat Charron died peacefully in her home the morning of Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the age of ninety, and just one day after marking her 67th Wedding Anniversary with Jim Charron.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vernon M. and Edith (Adler) Williams; brother and sister-in-law V. Morris Williams, Jr and Kay Ogilvie Williams; grandparents George and Mary (Watts) Adler and William and Lethia (Manko) Williams.

She is survived by her husband James A. Charron; sons: James A. Charron, Jr (Donna), John L. Charron (Jerri Lynn), and W. Andrew Charron (Alice); grandchildren: Jac Charron (Melody), Philip Charron, Damon Smith, Derek Smith, Addie Brewster (Zack), Mary Beth Charron, Eli Charron, Edie Charron, and Lilly Charron; great grandchildren: Abby Pruitt (Chris), Keith Smith (JaeAnna), and Connor Smith; niece and nephews: Kathy Williams Ennis, Chip Williams (Jo), Jeff Williams (Kristy), great nieces and nephews: Kristen Rutledge (Brian, Ellie, and Gus), Joseph Ennis (Marrah and Kaia).

Pat was born in Decatur, AL but she lived the majority of her life in Nashville and Brentwood, TN surrounded by family and friends. A graduate of Hillsboro High School in 1954, she attended Lindenwood College for Women for one year and then earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 1958.

After college she taught 5th Grade at Brook Meade School in Nashville, married her college sweetheart Jim Charron of Ithica, NY and moved to Utica, NY to teach 2nd Grade at Christopher Columbus School. They returned to Nashville in 1960 to raise a family where she became involved in organizations and communities that overlapped with their life and family.

Shortly after returning to Nashville, she reconnected with Calvary United Methodist Church which had become her church home in the mid-1940’s along with her parents and brother. Over the years she chaired numerous boards and committees at Calvary, Fannie Battle Day Home, and Community Care Fellowship. She was also passionate about the unique and hope-filled mission of Retrieving Independence that promotes love, dignity, and change through their service dog program. Pat always sought ways to be in service to others and advocated for the underserved and marginalized in her local community.

In the late-1980s, Pat was the first woman elected to Battle Ground Academy’s Board of Trustees and spearheaded a fundraising campaign and time-capsule to commemorate BGA’s Centennial Celebration in 1989. As a longtime member of the Centennial Club in Nashville, she enjoyed playing bridge and being in fellowship with her friends.

The family expresses their love and appreciation to the three extraordinary caregivers that have been helping Pat and Jim for many years. Their hard work and compassion have been a true blessing to the Charron Family!

Arrangements: Visitation will be at Calvary United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 11 from 12-2 PM followed by her Celebration of Life Service at 2 PM. (There will be a graveside service at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens at ~3:30 PM.)

In lieu of flowers Pat’s family is requesting memorials to any of the following organizations she joyfully supported:

- Battle Ground Academy
