Nancy Stephenson Merkling

Nancy Harper Stephenson Merkling, 81, of Stewart, TN, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025.

Nancy was a colorful lady who loved sparkles, flowers, and watching her grandchildren dance. She loved life and it was never a dull moment around her! She was a loving mother who devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by children, Jeffery Stephenson, William Scott Stephenson (Nancy), and Sandra Stephenson-Elliott (Kenneth). Grandchildren, Jennifer Stephenson, Brook Stephenson, Woody Stephenson, Hunter Stephenson, Trixie Dunn, Abby Mays, and Katelyn Stephenson. 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Best friend, Krista Ross. Companion of 3 years, Gene Evans.

She was preceded in death by Charles F. Harper, Erline Bush Harper, John W. Stephenson, Cyril Merkling, and Charlene Harper Hill.

A celebration of life will be held on April 5, 2025, from 10 am to 1 pm at the pavilion at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with burial following at 1:30 pm.
