Obituary

Mildred Christine “Midge” Deal Brown, age 94, was born October 12, 1931, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Harvil M. Deal and Bessie Hutton Deal. Midge had a long and happy life as a native Nashvillian, mostly in Bellevue. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1949, her class was referred to as the 49ers. She spent her last days in Bellevue at The Trace of Nashville, in the Memory Care, due to dementia. She maintained her happy and carefree life always with a smile and made friends wherever she went; her attitude was infectious. She had an adventurous spirit; she fully lived life and never looked back—she brought the life to the party. She will be forever remembered for her generous hospitality, quick wit and kind heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jennie Brown Aguilar; her brother, Melvin Eugene Deal; her grandson, Shannon O’Connor; her first husband, Roger C. “Rod” Brown; and her second husband, Andrew Peter Belz.

She is survived by her daughters, Mindy O’Connor and Cindy Whitaker, as well as her grandchildren, Shane O’Connor (Tracy), Alexander Daugherty, Gretchen Jamison, Jennye Kay Davidson and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by adoring cousin, John Hutton of White Bluff, TN and many loyal friends including Anita Peterman and Bobby Edmondson.
