Michael T. Keenan

Michael "Mike" Thomas Keenan, age 74 of Nashville, TN passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023. Mike was born in Louisville, KY raised in Westwood Gardens in Jackson, TN and settled in Nashville, TN. As this is a sad time for our family and friends, this is also a time to celebrate his life. He was a husband, brother, step-father, paw-paw and great friend to everyone he met.

Mike was very active in sports throughout his life, whether it was playing little league baseball, managing the highschool football team, coaching church softball, going on golf trips with his friends or watching the Titans. Above all, the St. Louis Cardinals reign supreme in Mike's eyes. He loved nothing more than having a homemade tailgate with his wife Elizabeth while cheering them on to victory. Mike and Elizabeth were best friends and inseparable since the day they wed, sharing their love of sports, all things southern, and spoiling their grandchildren.

Mike had a long and successful career in sales as a manufacturers rep for office furniture and supplies. He was a lifelong active member of the Methodist Church, including Arlington United Methodist Church where he met Elizabeth. Mike had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, he was one of a kind. As we lose here on earth, we know that heaven has gained a true angel.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl T Keenan; brother, Bill Currie; step-son Edward Hahnfeldt IV; step daughter in-law, Becky Denami.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Keenan and her children (Anthony Denami, William (Betsy) Denami, Bryant (Alaina) Hahnfeldt; grandchildren, Houston (Rebekah) Wood, Zachery (Kenzie) Wood, Reagan Denami, Caylee Jo Denami, William Denami; great grandson, Titus Wood; sister, Carla (Kenny) Jarrell; nephew, Bill (Amanda) Currie III; in addition to many wonderful friends and neighbors.

Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 12:30pm at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
