Michael Gresham

Michael Brian Gresham was born in Greenville, S.C. on January 7, 1964, to parents Beverly and Jim Gresham. He passed away April 13, 2025, in Nashville, after a sudden critical illness.

Mike was proceeded in death by his father Jim Gresham and his older brother Jack Gresham. He is survived by his mother Beverly Gresham and two brothers Greg Gresham(Vicky), Tim Gresham(Angela), sister-in-law Flotyl Gresham, 5 nieces and 3 nephews.

Mike graduated from Barrington High School in Barrington, Il and attended classes at the University of Memphis. For several years he worked at McDonalds in Germantown, then to Eddie Bauer. He also worked as a starter for Memphis National Golf Club, where he made many friends and “honed” his golf game. He was a Houston High School supporter, scoring the Mustang football games. Mike also was an avid St Jude Race participant, running in Memphis and Nashville, becoming a St Jude Hero. Mike has been working in the CORE, the Recreational Ministery of Germantown Baptist Church, for several years. He has been an active member of the church for 40 years, serving in many areas and volunteering for everything! For years he has worked with Ben Lane in the Puppet Ministry.

There was no one who was not a friend of Mike’s, he loved everyone even the nurses who made him feel like a “stick-pin”. When his illness took his voice, he always gave them a “thumbs up “!

Service, Wednesday, April 23, at 11 am, Visitation from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, TN. Memorials to Germantown Baptist Church CORE or Puppet Ministry, or to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
