Mary Walkup

Mary Himes Walkup left us early in the morning of August 31, 2022. Mary was customer service manager and telemarketing director of Laredo and Code West Boots. She earned various awards including the Superior Achievement Recognition Award (S.A.R.A).

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Walkup Jenkins, her grandchildren; Alex Jenkins (Kaitlyn), Kiely Jenkins (Brandon); great grandchildren, Stella, and Bryson Jenkins (Alex) and Sejahari Watts (Kiely). She is also survived by sisters, Lucy Melton (Willard), Claudine Upchurch (Brad), Peggy Nichols (Russ), brother, Larry Himes (Nancy), sister-in-law, Mary Ann Price (Walter), along with many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sam Walkup; parents, Alice, and Elgin Himes; brothers, Carl Hines, Clyde Himes, George” Bubba” Himes and Jackie Clark.

Her last days were surrounded by those she loved.

There will be visitation Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 11:00am - 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm all at Harpeth hills Funeral Home.
