Maria Jones

Mrs. Maria Jones age 56 of Franklin, TN. passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with her family by her side.

Maria was born on July 4, 1966, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas Mexico to Carlos Diaz Marroquin and Evangelina Verdines Alvarad. Growing up Maria was an introverted yet talkative child who loved her many siblings and parents. She was always wanting to listen and help people solve their problems, for example, she assisted starting some churches locally.

In Mexico Maria received a Christian education and eventually earned a degree at the Iqnacio Manuel Altamirano institute to obtain her title of commercial executive secretary degree. When she married Danny R. Jones, they raised two children and started a successful concrete and flower business.

Maria enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She was also a very generous person who loved her family both in Mexico and America, always wanting the best for them. Maria was honest in her opinion and well-intentioned, always carrying a sense of confidence and ease about her. She had a lot of patience and style. She loved God and frequently read her bible throughout her life.

Her family includes her husband, Danny Ray Jones, daughter, Mary Helen Evangelina Jayne, son-in law Jeremiah Olivas Jayne and son, Danny Christopher Jones, daughter-in-law Marissa Jones, sisters, Teresa Diaz Verdines, Raquel Diaz Verdines, Olga Alicia Diaz Verdines, Alicia Diaz Verdines, Mari Yons, and Dora Isabel Diaz Verdines, brothers, Carlos Diaz Verdines and Jose Lurs Diaz Verdines.

Visitation with the family will begin on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 10:30 am until service time at 11:30 pm. All services to be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
