Heaven has one more soul watching over us. Maria Arnold, 42, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on September 18, 2026. 

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and her family was the center of her world. Maria was a wonderful mother to her children, Liam and Evelyn. She gave them her time, her attention, and her love, and they were always her proudest joy. She was a devoted wife to Trey, a loving daughter to Donnie and Cindy, and a cherished sister to Matthew.

Maria took great care to preserve the moments that mattered. She recorded memories of her family, from the big milestones to the everyday moments, so that nothing precious would be forgotten. Because of her, her family will always have her love, her voice, and their years together to look back on. She also found peace in tending to her houseplants, nurturing them as well as she did her children. Maria loved going to Alaska. Its grandeur and beauty moved her, but most of all she loved the promise of freedom she found there. Even when she was back home in Tennessee, her heart stayed pointed north. Our hope is that the landscape of heaven is as breathtaking as Alaska, and that Maria has found there the fresh start she always dreamed of. We believe she is watching over us, and we will carry her with us until we meet again. 

Maria is survived by her husband, Trey; her son, Liam; her daughter, Evelyn; her father, Donnie; her mother, Cindy; her brothers, Matthew, Jessie and Bobby; and her extended family and many friends who loved her. 

A celebration of Maria's life will be held September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Thompson Station Church, 2604 Thompson Station Road East in Thompson Station, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in her memory. Click HERE to donate.
