Mamie Russell

Mamie Ruth Russell, age 87, passed away on February 17, 2022.

Proceeded in death by her adoptive parents; James Dickerson and Grace Vick, also her two sons, James Russell and Lewis Russell and their dad Lawrence Russell.

She is survived by her daughter; Nina (Wayne) Hassell and two grandchildren, two great granddaughters, Chasity (Devlin) Briley and Emily (Austin) Pulley whom she loved so much. But these three great-great-grandbabies were her world, Carter Briley, Jameson Briley and Gracelynne Pulley.

She will be meeting Parklynne Briley in heaven before we will since she is due to be here March 30 of this year.

She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church family dearly. She treasured her family and her savior with love and care for each and everyone with all her heart. She couldn’t remember living with me, but she told a nurse at the rehab that she prayed to God every night. Isn’t that something. She remembered her God. She was loved by all who knew her. She has been known to have a spunky spirit and a heart of gold.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:30 pm held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221.
