Lorene Chumney

Frances Lorene Hutcherson Chumney was born March 3, 1938 to Frank and Ruby Hutcherson in Fairview, TN and left this world August 20, 2022. She was the youngest of 12 children.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, James W. Chumney; parents, Frank and Ruby Hutcherson of Fairview; brothers Ben, Bob, Thomas, Harding, Harold, and Joseph; sisters Sarah Spencer, Adelee Bradford, Betty Place, and Maxine Griffin. She is survived by sister, Ester Stinson; children Teresa Craft (Terry), Sherri Robbins (Scott), Douglas Chumney (Sarah); Grandchildren Hillary Johnson (Jordan), Allison Childress (Matt), Emily Caldwell (Marc), Ben Chumney, Ethan Robbins, Sam Chumney; Step-grandchildren Jamie and Ryan Wiley; Great Grandsons Peyton and Baker Johnson, Warren Childress.

She loved to travel and visited all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Ireland, and Italy. Lorene also loved her Bible and left many notes for her family. She will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

There will be a visitation Sunday August 28, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, TN 37221. Burial will be private.
