It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann Johnson, a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend. Ann left us peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 89 and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and grace.
Ann was born to George and Viola Harris on December 12, 1935. Ann loved the Lord, and her Christian faith was a central tenant of everything she did. Ann was a wonderful homemaker and mother to everybody she knew. She was also a beloved employee at Castle Heights Military Academy.
In April 1955, Ann married her soulmate, James Johnson. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership filled with love and mutual respect, spanning nearly 5 decades. Together, they raised four wonderful children- Roger Johnson, Ray Johnson, Mike Johnson, and Patricia Greene. Ann’s family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Ann’s life will be celebrated on November 15, 2025, at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens funeral home. Family is welcome to begin visitation at 9 AM, and friends are welcome from 930 till 11:30 AM. There will be a service at 11:30, and she will then be laid to rest next to the love of her life.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer’s Association.
Ann Johnson’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but we know she is reunited with James. Today, they are together singing praises to their savior with the entire choir of angels. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit live on in the hearts of all of those who loved her.
