Lillie Gilliam, age 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. She was married for 54 years to her beloved husband, George Allen Gilliam, sharing a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and friendship,.

Lillie grew up in a Christian household, where faith, love, and compassion were instilled in her from an early age. Those values guided her throughout her life and were evident in the care and kindness she showed to everyone she met.

A former nurse and cosmetologist, Lillie dedicated her life to serving others. Whether through healing hands or creative touch, she brought comfort, confidence, and encouragement to those around her. Her compassion and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Lillie was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband, George Allen Gilliam; her son, Kevin Bingham; her brothers, Minister Charles Murrell, Minister Melvin Murrell (Verona), Jerry Edwards, and Nick Edwards (Demetria); her sister, Ludene Conyers (George); her aunts, Inell James and Queen Douglas; the Gilliam family; her grandchildren, Eric, Ashley, Jordan, Tiereney (Kenneth), Krishna, DeMarlon, Marcus, and Erica; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives, good friends and caring, generous neighbors. She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Rodney Gilliam; her parents, Joe Willie and Estelle Edwards; and her siblings, Ivy Edwards and Samella Collier.

Lillie Gilliam will be remembered for her loving spirit, her faith-filled life, and the warmth she shared so freely. Though she is no longer with us her legacy of love, service, and family devotion will continue to live on through all whose lives she touched.
