Lenora Stanley

March 1, 1943 — January 8, 2024

Our dear mother, Lenora Stanley, sadly passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born on March 1, 1943 in Malvern, Arkansas to Carl and Florence Kirk.  Lee graduated from Magnet Cove High School in 1961, and attended University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother, Steve Kirk (Jan); daughters, Karen Stanley, Sharon Mosier, (Jimmy) and Stacy Jagger (Ron); grandchildren, Austin (Macie), Mallory, Rebekah, Luke, Della Rose, and Dean Henry; great-grandchildren, Colson and Harper; nieces and nephews; Doug, Jennifer, Ty, Stephanie, Sarah.
She had many friends who adored her. She dearly loved her 3 adult daughters, (Karen, Sharon, & Stacy), as well as her 6 grandchildren (Austin, Mallory, Rebekah, Luke, Della Rose, Dean Henry) ,and 2 great grandchildren, (Harper and Colson). She also loved her sons in law, (Jimmy and Ron). She was very close to her brother Steve, his wife Jan, and their family.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She enjoyed canvas painting, birdwatching, sunsets, reading, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family.

She was of the Christian faith and regularly attended her weekly bible study. She loved to watch Charles Stanley on television and attended Harpeth Heights Baptist Church.

She was always selfless, caring, and had a big heart. We would tease her and tell her that we didn’t know of many her age who was so savvy on Instagram and Facebook. Mom was a Christian and loved the Lord. She also enjoyed her weekly bible studies. She had a great sense of humor and could always make you smile. One of the last things daddy told us before he passed away was “You girls take good care of your mama” our family honored his wishes with great joy and love. One of her favorite verses was 2 Timothy 4: 7-8  “I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. We will all carry you in our hearts forever. We love you. 🙏❤️
We will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 17th at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cremation Center in the pavilion from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Would love to see you.
