Obituary

Ledwell Parham, age 84, was born on December 1st, 1941 and passed away on June 9th, 2026.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, farmer, and friend, Ledwell (LD) lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, and unwavering love for his family. He was a quiet man whose actions spoke louder than words, providing steady guidance, wisdom, and support to those who knew him best.

Ledwell grew up in the Fairview area, where he attended school and then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he worked as a machinist before beginning a distinguished career with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), where he served as a System Specialist for twenty-two years. He earned the respect of his coworkers through his knowledge, dependability, and commitment to excellence.

While he was proud of his military and professional accomplishments, his greatest joy was found at home on the farm. A lifelong farmer, Ledwell loved working the land and spending time alongside his beloved wife, Margie, and his son, Robert. Whether tending fields, repairing equipment, building projects, or completing the countless daily tasks of farm life, he cherished the time they spent working together. Those moments were among the happiest and most meaningful of his life.

Ledwell was known for his gentle nature, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. He found satisfaction in a job well done, a day spent outdoors, and time shared with family. His steady presence brought comfort and stability to everyone around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Parham; his son, Robert Parham; his grandson, Caleb Parham; and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie "Buck" Parham and Prudie Parham, along with other beloved family members.

Though his later years brought health challenges, he faced them with courage and dignity. His family will remember not those struggles, but a lifetime of love, sacrifice, and devotion.

His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created with those he loved.

Funeral services will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, Tennessee 37221, on June 27, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate a life well lived.

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near."
